Does Christianity Preach Fear? p4

Secularism and Control (1 of 2 )

This article examines the claims of religious pluralism (intolerance) through civil law and government (secularism) with that of Christianity. These two paths have now been crossed and the debate is on whether or not the only true and living God will be publicly rejected in these United States. The claim that Christianity preaches fear for control really has nothing to do with governance, according to the critics. But has everything to do with what the biblical doctrine proclaims about religious pluralism. This appears to be the path that America is going to follow, and the bible verifies as true.

The word of God is visible today in real time. All one must do is begin to take a look at what God's word reveals. Part Five of this series will shift the focus away from governance, and addresses the true claim of the critics; that of Biblical doctrine and the declaration of moral authority. This is what the critic really means when he makes the claim of preaching fear.
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. 1 Peter 2:13-17
There is no Christian theocracy anywhere in the world today. The nations that control their populations through religious fear are the theocracies of Islam. The Hindu Caste system condemns over 250 million people to extreme poverty and unbearable misery. Has any Atheist government delivered freedom and human rights to its citizens? The claim that Christianity preaches fear, for control, as far as government is concerned remains bogus.

In contrast to non-Christian governance, the American concept of freedom and independence prevents religion from becoming state controlled, including that of Christianity, as was the Anglican Church of our forefathers. Our Constitution allows true freedom because of the biblical precepts of morality, equality and justice. This Freedom is evident and true to all people who cherish liberty, justice and human rights. Liberty, is an Old Testament ideology, proclaimed by God as a command in the Mosaic law, the central theocracy of Old Testament Israel.
And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim Liberty [rwrd] throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. Leviticus 25:10
Religious Pluralism Clashes With American Heritage

Why do so many people flee to this country from their homeland? Simply because, the nations that do not practice Christian principles are the very nations that practice control and fear by denying their citizens the freedoms that we Americans take for granted. Those who fled their homeland sought the freedom they have been denied, not according to laws of man, but that of the eternal right to be free, that which is declared by God and stated in our Declaration of Independence as evident. This declaration came from the one true living God; the God of Israel, as revealed through his only begotten son Jesus Christ.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
These words are written with the intention to include all religion, thereby stating "their creator" as personal and individual. The founding Fathers were all godly men. Some were Deists and most were Christian. Of course not all believed in the same Christian God of the bible but they all believed in God and any differences in theological philosophy did not prevent these men from declaring a universal truth;
"that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,"
I do not know of any religion that denies this truth, whether or not that religion agrees with how god is defined. No religion delivered the basis for liberty through societal law other than that of the Old Testament Mosaic theocracy. The God of Israel delivered that law to Moses by his own hand. This is true and authentic Christianity, that which the bible testifies to; that of Israel. Their system failed not because of their creator but because they too went into religious pluralism, rejecting the very God they promised to obey, accepting his law with the promise that they would be blessed if they followed God's laws, or be cursed if they did not. God gave to his people liberty and blessing but the people sought other gods instead, thereby causing their society to go into moral decline. Sound familiar to modern day America? There is nothing new under the sun!
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
This declaration does not forbid religion but denies government from being controlled by any religion. The idea that the government of United States would exclude religion from society is not only absurd but unconstitutional. Biblical morality is the foundation of Western ideology as these foundations brought forward the possibility for freedom and the human rights that come with that freedom. This is the foundation that prevents totalitarian rule by zealot[s] in position of power, within the government, military, business, or any external threat, such as a foreign government. Boldness to proclaim that which is true and evident, the Ten Commandments were placed in public buildings all across this great nation, so that people from every walk of life could come and look at the living documents which gives power; to the people, for the people, and by the people.

What is at issue in 21st century America with the inclusion of God in our civil affairs? I put forward that the religious pluralism of many generations with the mass immigration of people from all over the world has finally reached the point of overshadowing our historical heritage, and the biblical foundations which were responsible for bringing freedom forward and forming our Constitution. The only true declaration of freedom the world has ever seen. The great cultural mix of people fleeing to these United States did so primarily because of persecution within their own countries. Mainly from religious persecution and the denial of human rights, which causes repression through religious belief and subjugates millions to extreme poverty and therefore giving cause for economic plight.

Today, these varying beliefs and cultures have finally clashed with that of our founding principles of Christianity. To deny that America was built on biblical foundations is ignorance and uneducated bias, bringing non-conducive resolution to the issues that have divided us; that of our political and religious rights. These conflicts have been brought forward because of our declaration of religious pluralism, as our Constitution allows freedom to all faiths, beliefs, religions or even the lack thereof. And so, we have finally arrived to the active participation of conflict; that which is considered [tolerant] and/or [intolerant] by the [we] of society who will subsequently decide the law of the land; for the people and by the people.

Who Are *We* of American Society

Historically [we] were predominately Protestant Christians, seeking freedom of religion from the state controlled church of England, which emulated the same fear and control as its sister church, the Roman Catholics. Atheism, as a form of governance did not come until 1917, with the formation of the Soviet Union, the first self professed atheist nation the world had ever known. Fascism controlled much of Europe in the early 20th century and brought two world wars, the first time in human history the entire world had been consumed with warfare.

The early immigrating people that came to this nation were mainly Christians, fleeing English control. Nearly 150 years after the birth of America, the majority of people immigrating to the United States were mainland European Christians, primarily from, Italy, Ireland and Russia, including a mass migration starting to come up from Latin America seeking work. Yet during those generations, America adhered to its Christian roots because the majority of people who came were Christians. The American population held to the biblical beliefs of Christianity as the vast majority called themselves, god-fearing people. This was not because of political control but that of our religious and cultural beliefs. Beginning in the 1960's, slowly and steadily, a rising population from a vast cultural diversity began to immigrate from all over the non-Christian nations of Asia, Africa and the Middle East, all seeking to flee persecution, and prospering by the freedoms brought about by the founding principles of Christianity..

American society of the 21st Century has arrived to the point it has, because the previous, fundamental Christians have passed on, and the new Liberal America has begin to emerge and take hold, causing our society to resemble those other great societies of the past; Babylon, Egypt, Greece and Rome. They too practiced religious pluralism, while maintaining political control through the iron first of totalitarian rule. Modern America has arrived at the same crossroads that those great societies all came up against, with one major difference and in reverse, we are not governed by totalitarian rule as they were, at least not yet anyway. But the time will come, as it is written.

History has proved over and again that state control is inevitable, when society begins to remove Christianity from public view, thus opening the way for repression through the use of political secularism, caused through religious pluralism. This was true with the beginning world kingdom, that of Nimrod and his Babylon. Mankind has come full circle, as the Bible reveals one final world ruler that will come and establish his one world system of anti-Christ (political) and the false prophet (religion) emulating that which started all the way back with Nimrod, the world's first totalitarian ruler of the church and state. God has declared that Babylon will be utterly destroyed sometime in the future, as this prophecy has not been fulfilled, as Babylon still remains today in modern Iraq. Many Christian expositors believe that this place, will be the world headquarters for this final system.
Isaiah 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Within thirty years of Jesus' crucifixion, the whole Roman Empire had been turned upside down by the deliverance of the Gospel, thus opening the way to breaking the iron fist of the state, by delivering power into the hands of the people, through the revelation of the true living God and His moral authority, delivered by the early church fathers throughout the vast Roman empire. The Caesars of Rome saw this change taking place, and starting with Augustus through Constantine Rome finally turned over political power to the Roman Catholic Church. As with Israel and their kings and priest, to our modern day and our elected leaders, corruption that is allowed to set into society, eventually will enter the church, such as what happened with Imperial Rome, mixing government with the Church, eventually becoming corrupt and turning away from that which Christianity proclaims, as given by the Apostles, the very men God had chosen to deliver his truth and to build his church. Politics has corrupted the Church, and this is that 'worldliness' James spoke about (James:3:13-18) [1].
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17
What eventually brought an end to totalitarian church and state rule, was that of true Christianity and the formation of the American model of government. This was brought about by the beginning stages of reformation within the Roman Catholic Church, starting with Martin Luther, whose teachings inspired the Protestant Reformation in England, which brought mainly Protestant Christians to these American shores as Colonists seeking reform. This began the decline of Colonialism with the (Roman) European powers of England, France, Spain and Portugal, thus giving rise to the most prosperous and powerful free nation the world has even known or will ever see again; America, the land of the free. The most blessed nation the world has ever seen.

Freedom is established by the principles set forth through biblical doctrine, as is evident in the world today. The nations that are not free are non-Christian.
