Blessings:

Just passing by, looking at older posts and this one caught my attention.
Even Jesus said; "Why do you call me good? Only the Father in Heaven is Good."
I think telling ourselves we are 'Good Christians' or whatever, is to ignore our shortcomings and lacks humility.
"Yesterdays BEST is todays worst and I can strive higher" is an attitude I work with. Of course, this is only a 'self-comparison' as I don't think we can compare ourselves to anyone. That's just another way we have of raising ourselves by walking over others.
Far too often I've heard people use the excuse; "Well, at least it's not as bad as...whatever or wherever."
Why does it have to be? Isn't it bad enough if you have to say it's not as bad as something else?
But then you know what I say;
"I don't think i know...I just know i'm thinking."
your humble servant,
ancient clown
